Discover all that Madrid has to offer with 37 bus stops and two distinct routes. You are free to get on and off the bus whenever you want and whichever stop. On board you will find an audio guide in 14 languages and special channels for children. Sit on the open air top deck or if you prefer, below with air conditioning. 

The Madrid City Bus will take you around the most important places and monuments in Madrid. 

 Route 1 of the Hop-on Hop-off Madrid City Tour covers the historic part of the city. This circular route includes the magnificent and artistic Paseo del Prado to the incredible architectural jewels of Hasburg. From the Art Triangle to the Palacio Real, and from the Plaza de Cibeles to the Puerta de Toledo, this route will navigate you right through the historical heart of the city. With this route you will see the Prado Museum, la Puerta de Alcalá, the Salamanca neighbourhood, Plaza de Colón, Plaza de Ciebeles, Gran Vía (the main street) 14, 30 & 54, Plaza de España, Templo de Debod, the Royal Theatre, the Royal Palace, la Puerta de Toledo, the San Francisco el Grande cathedral, the Almudena cathedral, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, el Círculo de Bellas Artes, Thyssen Musuem, Queen Sofia Museum and the Botanic gardens. 

Route 2 on the Hop-on Hop-off Madrid City Tour will take you on a journey through the modern part of the city, in which you can discover the more innovative places in Madrid. Uncover the contemporary architecture and financial district of Madrid. In addition, if you like sports, this route will take you close to the Real Madrid stadium, the Santiago Bernabéu. On this bus route you will see the Plaza de Neptuno, Plaza de Cibeles, Plaza de Colón, Sculptural museum, Natural sciences museum, Nuevos Ministerios, the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Central organisation CSIC, Lázaro Galdiano museum, Serrano 61&66, Archaeology museum, la Puerta de Alcalá, Alcalá, 17, Puerta del Sol and Plaza de las Cortes. 

 You can even design your own itinerary as these two tours cross at various points!

  • Opening hours: March – October 9:00am – 10:00pm. November – February 10:00am – 6:00 pm.

  • Printed ticket is required. If you cannot print the ticket, don’t worry, present your online mobile ticket to Julia Travel, situated on calle (street) San Nicolás, number 15. Here they will print your ticket(s). The office is open from 9:00am – 6:00pm. 
  • Your ID will be required either on the bus or at the Julia Travel offices.  
  • There is free wifi available
