THE LAMBRETTAS

THE CHORDS UK

SPECIAL GUESTS

The Lambrettas came to prominence in the late 1970's Mod Revival scene in the UK. Their first single "Poison Ivy" captured the zeitgeist of the time and went straight into the Top 10 of the UK charts and earned the band a slot on BBC1's "Top of the Pops". Further singles "D-a-a-ance", "Another day, another girl", & "Good times" brought the band a huge audience.

The Chords were championed by Paul Weller and Sham 69's Jimmy Pursey before signing to Polydor Records and scoring chart hits with "Maybe Tomorrow", "Something's Missing", "The British Way of Life" and more. Their debut album "So Far Away" reached number 30 in the naitonal charts. Now fronted by original member Chris Pope, The Chords UK will be playing the hits and selections from their recent album "Take on Life" tonight.

THE TRUTH

FAY HALLAM

DJ DAVE EDWARDS

The Truth were formed in 1982 by the band leader of Nine Below Zero Dennis Greaves and Mick Lister. Their debut single "Confusion ( Hits Us Every Time )" went to No. 22 in the UK charts and was followed swiftly by "A Step in the Right Direction" which reached No. 32. Their debut album "Playground" came out in 1985 and was followed by "Weapons of Love" (1987) and "Jump" (1989) along with some fantastic singles before the band split. After reforming in 2012 for a one off sold out London concert, The Truth are back to play at 2017's Mods Mayday Weekend.

Fay Hallam, originally from Wolverhampton, a long time exponent of 60's style beat and pop, has performed over the years in acts such as Makin' Time (which also included a pre-The Charlatans Martin Blunt) to The Prime Movers and Phaze. Over the years she has worked with Billy Childish, Graham Day, Allan Crockford and other luminaries of the Medway scene where she lived for 17 years. A prolific songwriter, she has made over 9 albums. In 2012 she released an album on Blow Up Records in collaboration with The Bongolian.

SECRET AFFAIR

THE SCENE

DEEP SIX

DJ PAUL "SMILER" ANDERSON

Secret Affair (Ian Page, Dave Cairns, Dennis Smith & Seb Shelton) formed in 1978 from their previous incarnation as the “power pop” band New Hearts. In a period of a little over two years, they posted five releases in the UK Singles Chart, and released three albums. The debut single "Time For Action" reached number 13 in the UK chart, putting them at the forefront of the mod revival movement. More chart success followed with "Let Your Heart Dance", "My World" and "Sound Of Confusion". They also drew up plans for a smart-dressing youth movement - "The Glory Boys" – based around the idea of 1960s gangster chic, influenced by the movie, "Performance."

The Scene were a London based Mod Band who released three singles in the Mid-1980's on Diamond Records - "Something That You Said", "Looking for Love" and "Good Lovin' "

Deep Six comprise ex-members of Makin' Time, The Upper Fifth, The Threads and The E Types and have played supporting From the Jam, Secret Affair and more recently.
